Experience Australia's Last Sunset
Renowned for its history, natural beauty, spectacular landscapes and fishing, Dirk Hartog Island is an ‘ark’ for endangered wildlife and a great place for an island adventure. The most western point of Australia has seen it all, from early explorers to a major sheep station, the island is a melting pot of Australian history. Come and see this unique World Heritage site and witness firsthand the ‘Return to 1616’ ecological restoration project aiming to return the island to how Dirk Hartog discovered it 400 years ago.
Dirk Hartog Island is situated in a world heritage area and is one of Australia’s most historic and pristine locations. It’s the place where the first European landed in Australia in 1616 and home to Australia’s iconic last sunset. Enjoy watching the sun as it says its final good night to the Australian wilderness, whilst sipping on a refreshing signature gin and tonic, perched on 600ft high cliffs overlooking the ocean.
